Peace of the earth

I am here. Beyond the pines. Where the acacias bend. If my sister was here, she would say 'it smells of our childhood'. The world is far away from me as I hide among the cluster of willows. It's like in the rush before the rain. Am I the only one waiting for the serenity? Am I the only one feeling the peace of the earth?

If you were here, I'd show you the willows. The enthusiasm of the acacia, the joy of the blackberry, the birdsong, my hair tangling in the sky before the vines. With their past washed up after the pines. How wonderful it would be to turn into a being that grows with the rain. And to bloom. And fade. Blend into the earth. To come to her presence.
